An overall scenario and specific scenarios for each exam site must be built in case detecting suspected candidates positive for COVID-19 virus and candidates with symptoms of cough, fever, and others. *On the same day, at an online meeting with districts in Hanoi, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung requested localities to tighten management over quarantine facilities to prevent cross-contamination and monitor people travelling from pandemic-hit areas such as Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and Ho Chi Minh City. *A delegation led by head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Bui Thi Minh Hoai visited Bac Ninh Province on June 3 and granted the province with cash and goods worth over VND3.5 billion to support the fight against the pandemic. On the same day, the Vietnam Women’s Union and the Vietnam Red Cross Society also presented the province with VND1.7 billion and VND1.5 billion, respectively, to help combat the pandemic. *On June 3, the provinces of Phu Tho and Quang Ninh sent 84 and 20 medical workers, respectively, to Bac Giang to help take control of the pandemic there. Lang Son Province also mobilised 100 medical workers to go to its Huu Lung District in a bid to curb the pandemic. * Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has completed the installation of more than 2,400 surveillance cameras at 150 concentrated isolation facilities in 32 provinces and cities to meet new requirements on pandemic prevention and control. *Over the past few days, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the COVID-19 vaccine fund have received billions of Vietnamese dong as donations from enterprises, organisations and individuals to support the fight against the pandemic. According to Deputy Finance Minister Ta Anh Tuan, as of June 3, the balance of the vaccine fund stood at nearly VND104 billion. In addition, more than VND1,000 billion raised by the Ministry of Health and over VND2,300 billion donated by enterprises under the Committee for Management of State Capital at Enterprises will be transferred to the fund. President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien said that most of the money raised by the committee during the current outbreak of the pandemic will be transferred to the COVID-19 vaccine fund. According to preliminary calculations of the Ministry of Health, the cost of the purchase and injection of COVID-19 vaccines for this year will be over VND25,000 billion (over US$1 billion).
